Dental implants: completing your smile at Coptfold Dental
At Coptfold Dental, we understand that patients with missing teeth may not be keen to get their teeth replaced. However, we have a treatment that enables you to get your teeth replaced and then forget that you don’t have all of your natural teeth, because the replacements are in your mouth all the time. Dental implants Brentwood provide a treatment that allows replacement teeth to be fitted permanently into your mouth and they shouldn’t loosen, no matter what you eat or how much you talk! Dr. Himesh has a master’s degree in implantology and has been working for many years delivering excellent care to patients. With dental implants Brentwood, you can sit back and relax knowing that you’ll be in good hands and won’t need to go anywhere else for this advanced treatment.
Fitting dental implants
If you haven’t heard of dental implants Brentwood before, then you may not be aware that they are metal screws that are attached to the jawbone. During the first of two treatment sessions, we will give you a local anaesthetic and then we will fit the screws, at the site where your missing teeth are. These screws will then become fixed firmly into position, when the gums heal around them, which can take several weeks. While this is taking place, we will attach replacement teeth to the screws. After this time, you will then come back to see us for a final appointment, where we will remove the temporary replacement teeth and we will fit your permanent ones. The dental implants act like artificial roots for your replacement teeth, so you shouldn’t have to worry about them loosening and can then continue with your life as normal.
How do I maintain my dental implants?
Taking care of dental implants is really straightforward. All you will need to do is clean your teeth, floss, and come and see us for your regular check-ups as normal. If you follow this routine as you would for your natural teeth, then you could have your dental implants for the rest of your life! There will be no need to remove them when you go to bed, or when you want to clean them.
Why should I replace missing teeth?
Leaving gaps in your smile can leave the gums exposed to more germs, which can cause more dental issues, especially if you also still have natural teeth left in your mouth. By filling in the gaps, you are protecting the teeth and gums from developing more problems. You could also discover that it is easier to consume your food, once you have replacement teeth, and you may also find that your speech is improved as well. Moreover, you could also look younger with this treatment. This is because your face can shrink; if you have gaps, this can cause ageing. Once you replace your missing teeth, however, you give your face the support it requires to allow the skin to appear smoother and youthful again.
Initial consultation for you
To discover more about the treatments that could be suitable for your specific needs, book in for an initial consultation, where we can check your mouth over and look for any signs of oral cancer and take X-rays to ascertain what treatments may be right for you. We can discuss your concerns and talk about the treatments that you would be able to have, so you can choose the one that suits you best. If you do opt for dental implants, we look forward to seeing you smile a complete smile that is here to stay!
