Are you getting all you can from your dentist in Brentwood?
Smile like you mean it
Owning a healthy-looking smile is one of the most important social assets that a person can have, and something which positively impacts your daily life in far more ways than you may initially think. However, those who live each day with teeth that are badly stained, missing, chipped or broken could be doing themselves a disservice by not visiting their local dentist Brentwood for aid.
Although the level of new patients who are turning to their dentist for help has increased over recent years, many people out there still only think of the benefits a dentist Brentwood can bring to their smile in a purely responsive way. Meaning they will only visit the dentist after something has happened, such as a tooth breaking or suffering dental decay. However, by changing your views on what a dentist could do for you, you may be pleasantly surprised at the scope of what we can do to bring out the best in your smile.
What cosmetic treatments are available?
At Coptfold Dental we believe in treating every patient in the way which is perfect for them and their unique needs. Because there are no two identical smiles out there, we feel that the dental solutions we offer to our patients should never be the same as each other. Rather, we always adapt and tailor the procedures and treatments so that they meet and surpass each patient’s specific dental desires.
This is why we’ve found it best that patients undergo an initial consultation with a cosmetic dental expert, before rushing straight into any one type of treatment. These consultations give us a chance to highlight the various treatments we offer and explain how they could help your smile.
What can you do for stained teeth?
Being self-conscious about how their less-than-white smile looks is something which countless patients visit our dentist to address regularly, and we offer two different methods which can get rid of years of extrinsic staining to your enamel and give you a fresher and brighter looking smile.
The first type of dental whitening we offer is in-practice whitening, which is a massively popular option because of the speed in which results can be seen on your smile. When undergoing in-practice whitening, the first thing which will happen is our dentist Brentwood will assess the type of dental staining you have – as certain stains (called intrinsic stains) cannot be treated through dental whitening treatments.
Next they will make a customised tray which is moulded around the shapes of your teeth, and put a bleaching agent into the tray before placing it on your teeth. After about just 10 minutes you should be able to see a visible improvement in the shade of your enamel.
What is at-home whitening?
Another option for dental whitening which we offer here at our practice consists of at-home whitening kits, which achieve a similar result to in-practice whitening, only over a longer timeframe.
As the name suggests, one of the main appeals of this method is that you can whiten your teeth from the comfort and safety of your home. Principally, at-home whitening is very similar to the in-practice method, in that both involve the creation of a custom-made tray into which you place a bleaching agent.
Where at-home whitening differs however, is that you place a small quantity of the whitening gel provided into the tray and wear it at home for a few hours over the course of roughly two weeks or more – depending on the extent of your dental staining.
