You may be thinking that it sounds a little strange that we offer facial aesthetics treatments at a dental practice, when our business should be all about teeth, however, dentists are experts in facial anatomy, so they have an excellent understanding of the facial muscles that are being targeted in these treatments. Our practice is also an appropriate environment to have your treatment and to minimise the risk of infection. While some providers may have a treatment room in their converted garage, for example, we like to think that a dental practice is the sort of sterile environment you would expect when having injections. 
What we offer
At Coptfold Dental, we offer a couple of different treatments to get your face glowing and looking as youthful as can be. The first is an anti-wrinkle treatment and the other is dermal fillers.
Anti-wrinkle treatment
This is an injection that contains botulinum toxin type A, an injectable solution that is injected into the facial muscles and blocks the nerve endings. This allows the muscles to relax and for the skin to then appear smoother and more youthful. The treatment should be painless and takes only a few minutes to do. After this, you should see the results within 4 to 7 days and these should last for around 3 months, when you will then need further treatment to maintain your results. As with dermal fillers, you won’t require any downtime, so you can continue with your day as normal after having the treatment.
Dermal fillers
Dermal fillers are also injections and these contain hyaluronic acid gels. This is made from non-animal sources and, like botulinum toxin type A, it is FDA approved. The body naturally produces hyaluronic acid to give the skin its elasticity, but this production slows as we age. Therefore, the dermal fillers give the skin the boost it needs to look more youthful again. It is injected into the fine lines and wrinkles that you are targeting, and it plumps them up. Dermal fillers should last between 6 to 12 months, so you won’t need to have many treatments each year and the results are instant. You can also use dermal fillers for facial, neck and hand contouring, as well as for lip fillers to give you a perfect pout.
