Dermal fillers

Dermal fillers consist of an injectable substance of hyaluronic acid gels which are made from non-animal sources. The body naturally produces hyaluronic acid and this is what gives the skin its elasticity. Over time, however, the amount produced depletes and so these gels give the skin the boost it needs to look fresher and plumped up.
How long does the treatment take?
You will have local anaesthetic injected first and then the treatment takes just a few minutes to complete. The results will be able to be seens immediately and can last for up to 12 months. If you are having your lips treated, they usually last for 6 months. The treatment is a non-surgical procedure, which you can have during a lunch break if you need to as no downtime is required.
Another treatment option
Our Dentist Brentwood may also recommend another treatment we offer, which involves injections of botulinum toxin type A. When the lines are injected, it softens them so they appear smoother because the nerve impulses are blocked
This treatment only takes around 5 to 10 minutes to deliver and no anaesthetic is required; no pain should be felt. The results can take up to 7 days to be seen fully and last for around 3 months, when further treatment is required to maintain the results. It can be used to treat a variety of areas of the face that are prone to lines and wrinkles such as crows’ feet, frown lines and forehead lines.
